Hospital

Have you ever played that game "Telephone"? You know where you whisper in someone's ear and they tell the next person and by the time it gets to the end of the line it's nothing like it started out? That was my afternoon yesterday.

My brother called around 6p and said, "Call our aunt and try to visit grandma." After practically prying answers out of I found out the my grandma had a heart attack on Sunday and she was in the hospital. I couldn't believe that she'd been there since Sunday and someone was just now calling me. I mean I live 1 mile from the hospital. He also said she's there til the pump the water out of her and she was upset because she wanted to go to WalMart. What!?

What I found out after arriving at the hospital is that she did have a pulmonary heart attack on Sunday but didn't go into the doctor until yesterday. From the doctor's office they sent her into the ER. That's where she was when I got there. She was having heart failure and things would be bad if they didn't get the water out from around her heart. (that's the water my brother was talking about) Apparently it's a short drive from the doctor's office to the ER (this is where WalMart comes in). My grandma told my aunt she didn't want to go to the ER if it was busy (huh?) and if it was she wanted to go to WalMart and she would go back to the ER in the morning. Luckily my aunt didn't have to find out if she really wouldn't go since it wasn't busy and she went inside. That's where she was when I got there at 7p.

They finally moved her to her own room at 8p and are keeping her for a few days.

All is good for now but I'll post more when I know more.
